ollie..."da biped has heard strange noises coming from the chicken pen for the last two nights. Since she'd fixed it so no coons on possums could get in she was a little confused. So last night she snuck out there wif a flash light and caught these little guys up in the rafters. At first she thought they were rats but then she saw their white bellies and stripes and kinda looked like smallish squirrels. Now can you quess what they are?"
ollie...."No?" "How about now?!"

The chickens are in their little house at night but these guys are after the left over chicken feed in the pen. They let me walk up to the fence to take the pictures and one even climbed down the fence but that picture didn't come out. grrrr
Wow! We've never seen flying squirrels before. Mum's silly, she said it looked like he was flashing at the camera.

I at first thought that maybe there was a vampire bat at your place. Glad it turned out to be a flying squirrell instead. They aren't as dangerous as the Hollywood vampires.
