My mom has been known to sit on the floor in front of the sofa when I was spread out on it. Isn't that was a slave is supposed to do?
Number one rule is that you can't disturb a napping kitty (or even one that is relaxing)! So, of course your beans have to sit on the floor -- or pull up a chair, or whatever. Just not on the sofa, please.
Maybe the biped could squeeze in there between you on the sofa...then again, maybe not....
If I'm in dad's chair he lets me stay there and he sits on the floor. Mum picks us up and puts us on her lap though.
