Sick of Sick Animals & bad food

ollie...."Da biped has been doubling up on her happy pills lately because of losing brother Willie and then Dumb and Dumber getting sick. Dumb was just sick for an afternoon but it scared da biped when she could just barely make it out and back. Of course this happened on da weekend. Then last weekend Dumber got major sick. She ran back and forth between da biped's room and grandma's throwing up. Dat last Friday night thru Sunday when all of a sudden she was miraculously cured and wanted to be fed... NOW!. Then this Friday night Giggles started barfing. Almost the exact symptoms as Dumber. Da biped has checked for any chemicals, washed water dishes, carpets and found nothing that could cause the symptoms. The only thing common between da cats and dogs is Cat food. Dumber is a big thief, Dumb not so much. So this weekend we switch our dry food (again) and open a brand new bag and da biped finds about a quarter of the bag is filled with kibble dust."

biped...."I was really ticked off with an $8.00 bag of dust when I noticed that the cat's Dental food has a NEW look. Is this stuff "safe?" Is it going to create another problem? Then I thought....."

biped...."Silly me! Of course its safe. There's never any "BAD" kitty food. The company is just being politically correct and including easy to eat dental food dust for da kitties dat don't have any toofies left. I do think dat dey should include little spoons in da bag because da dust keeps getting stuck in their whiskers."

We are sorry all of you are getting sick. There is bad kitty food. It is hard to know what company to trust! Get well soon!

This is not an advertisement, but an honest plea to have you guys on better food: You should try one of the higher-priced foods (although not Science Diet or Nutro Natural Choice), because they are healthier for you, you eat less of them because they have better ingredients (so they are the same price in the long run), and there's less litter box waste. We've had good luck with Blue Buffalo and Wellness, and we've known people who've had good luck with Halo as well.

I am a little bit worried about all that dust in the bag. Check to make sure you did not get a bag with those little tiny cat-food eating bugs in it!

I agree with PDX Pride and Daisy ... good quality cat food is worth buying in the long run and keeps you good kitties healthy. We eat Taste of the Wild or Natural Balance.

Mom took back a bag of Wellness because it was kinda "dusty" and found out dat our local feed supply had fired a kid da week afore because instead of picking up da bags and placing dem on da shelves he was throwing dem from da back to da area dey would go...causeing all da foods to haf dusties in da bag!

We've just switched our main dry food to "Authority" which has meat as the first ingredient. The kids arn't wild about it, but they have the summer blahs and aren't wild about anything, except for temptashuns.
We also picked up some sample sized bags of organic cat food to give it a try. You're right about using good food though.
