Thankful Thursday

annie...."da biped's been really good at filling the bird feeders. She also scatters corn and sunflower seeds on the ground. She says its to make sure that even the squirrels have food. We know that the biped is fibbing. She puts the corn on the ground in hopes to keep the squirrels out of the bird feeders.

annie...."This is our new squirrel proof bird feeder. We always giggle when da biped comes in wif a new feeder. She always has a big smile on her face and you can bet sum time during putting it together she says to grandma!"

biped...."This looks like a good'un. No exposed wires or springs for them to chew or unhook."

annie...."and then Grandma smiles. If she's in a particularly feisty mood she may say."

grandma...."Sure hope you're right cuz the porch is looking a bit tacky wif all the broken bird feeders laying around."

annie...."If anyone might want to bet wif grandma if da squirrels break the new feeder, we might mention dat she only bets on sure things. We should mention that Pudgy the squirrel was chewing on the corner this morning and that there are at least eight derelict feeders on the front porch. Of course da biped's going to fix them any day now."

annie...."We like this little bird. He's really friendly and comes down and talks to da biped while she fills the feeders."

annie...."These are our doves. We counted over 20 of them today."

How lovely that your mom feeds both the birdies and the squirrels, even if the squirrels get a little greedy sometimes and want the birdie food.

It must be very interesting to all you kitties to watch, too!

I sure hope this birdfeeder holds up and doesn't end up in a pile with the others.

Ha, ha, you're a funny girl, Annie!
Just be happy your biped has not figured out how to really keep the squirrels away. You need them around to watch. Heck, they're better than TV.

We got a squirrel guard for our feeder. The problem we had was parrots found our feeder and we had 60 of them in our backyard!!

What a kewl feeder! We USED to have some 'til Bruiser the Bear came and DESTROYED them! You can go through our older posts (maybe May or June) and find the pictures of him DOING IT!!!

That is a neat feeder. We do not know of any squirrel proof feeders!

Our neighbor feeds birds too (and by extension, the squirrels). She's had to cut back because she said sometimes it looks like a scene from The Birds over there and they ate it as fast as she could put it out!

We feed birdies and squirrels too! Mom saw a squirrel proof birdie feeder at the store that made her laugh. When a squirrel puts it's weight on it, it spins it off! It has a motor. Birdes aren't heavy enough to make it spin! I'm am purrring and purring that we get one for Christmas!
